This project explores the use of treated human solid waste as an affordable and effective fertilizer to improve millet yields in Niger’s low-fertility soils. It addresses limited access to chemical fertilizers by recycling nutrients like phosphorus and potassium, improving soil health and increasing productivity. The innovation builds on prior acceptance of hygienized human urine and contributes to sustainable agriculture and waste valorization.
