What is the most interesting project or problem you are currently working on?
What I find most interesting is sharing my knowledge with researchers on their projects and the various facilitation sessions I conduct. The project I am currently supporting is called the Characterisation of existing composts and co-composts in peri-urban areas of Niamey and in rural areas. It is particularly exciting because not only am I analysing the data for this project, but I am also gradually beginning to understand the concepts behind it.
What role can/should/does technology play in social impact?
Technology is a powerful lever for social impact. It not only allows us to better understand the needs of communities through data collection and analysis, but also to disseminate innovative, accessible and inclusive solutions more widely. I am convinced that ICTs can play a crucial role in research, education, health and agriculture by providing concrete tools to improve everyday life. But for this impact to be real and sustainable, technology must be designed with and for communities, taking into account their real needs.
Where are you from?
I am Malian and I live in Bamako, Mali.
