What is the most interesting project or problem you are currently working on?
Improving course materials for researchers and students on good statistical practice.
What recent professional achievement are you particularly proud of (whether within IDEMS or independently)?
It’s the support we give to students. They really appreciate the support and often graduate at the top of their class.
What is the next tangible result of your work (publication of research, deployment of an application, new product or step towards a new product, new methodology or approach, etc.)?
The publication of an article that lays out our tailored approach to training NGO members, projects and institutions.
Do you have any particular aspirations in terms of professional development or academic qualifications?
My great aspiration is to be a recognised statistician in West Africa.
Why did you choose to work at IDEMS?
IDEMS offers us a great opportunity to learn and practise.
Where do you live? Is there anything you can or want to share about your family, community or activities that are important to you in this house (or away from this house if that’s more your thing)?
I live in Niamey, Niger. I am interested in collective work. I sometimes suggest that my community come together to address the issue of poor sanitation.
