This document presents the TRICOT (Triadic Comparisons of Technologies) participatory research approach used to evaluate traditional African vegetable varieties directly in farmers’ fields. It involves farmers comparing three randomly assigned varieties to identify those best adapted to local agroecological conditions and preferences. Implemented under the AV4Resilience project, the method integrates farmer feedback into varietal selection while leveraging digital tools like ClimMob for data collection and analysis.
